Ginger CO2 extracts

Flavex offers tailor-made ginger CO2 extracts, the essential oil with a fine balanced citric flavour, a ginger extract with 40 per cent gingerols or tailor-made ginger CO2 extracts with essential oil and pungent compounds in requested ratios. The valuable essential oil and the pungent compounds of the ginger roots with anti-inflammatory and antiemetic properties have a tonifying and vitalising effect on the stomach and gut and alleviate common stomach disorders.

Seabuckthorn pulp oil

This vegetable oil with up to 30 per cent of valuable omega-7 palmitoleic acid is recommended for soothing the mucous membrane of the stomach and gut and treatment of gastritis and ulcers. Furthermore seabuckthorn pulp oil binds toxins, scavenges free radicals, has a healing effect in case of inflammation of mucous membranes and stabilises the microflora of the stomach.

Rosemary and sage antioxidants

CO2 extraction technology is the state of the art technology for the production of highly concentrated natural rosemary and sage antioxidants with diterpene phenols (DTPs) as active constituents. Among the group of DTPs the carnosolic acid is the most important constituent.

Flavex rosemary and sage antioxidants are standardised to 14 per cent and 25 per cent DTPs and available as oil and water soluble products.

Food flavour ingredients

CO2 extracts represent the natural flavour profile of the herbal raw material almost perfectly, since the gentle process technology avoids hydrolysis, oxidation and isomerisation of sensitive components. CO2 extracts are free of germs and solvent residues and easy to standardise. They replace conventional extracts in many fields where added value is important.
